Congratulations to Dallas Cowboys starting quarterback Dak Prescott, who was honored as the NFL’s Walter Payton Man of the Year prior to Sunday’s Super Bowl kick off.
The award honors its recipient for his ‘commitment to philanthropy and community impact.’
Among Prescott’s charitable ventures is the creation of his Faith Fight Finish (FFF) Foundation, which focuses on colon cancer research, mental health and suicide prevention, bridging a gap between law enforcement and its communities, and assisting those faced with life-challenging adversity.
Prescott lost his mother, Peggy, to colon cancer in 2013. He made certain to thank and honor her on Thursday night during the official NFL Honors event in Phoenix, three days prior to the Super Bowl.

On the field, it has been well-documented the difficulties Prescott had this past season with interceptions.
However, there’s no questioning Prescott’s impressive work off the field as he exemplifies as well as anybody the mindset of helping others and championing worthy causes.
Way to go Dak. And, thank you for giving us so many reasons to be proud of you – on and off the field.
