Even the Sideline Hecklers make predictions (albeit very rarely) that simply do not materialize as we expected. Yes. We admit it. We did get a few things wrong at the outset of the 2023 College Football season back in late July and early August. And we are owning up to our mistakes.
As we all get set to see how things play out late this afternoon and tonight in the 2023 College Football Playoff Semifinals (#1 Michigan Wolverines and #4 Alabama Crimson Tide squaring off in one matchup with #2 Washington Huskies and #3 Texas Longhorns colliding in the other), #RandomRandy (Randy Parker), #SoonerChris (Chris Kerklin) and #LowedownDon (Don Lowe) find it interesting, but not necessarily much fun, to take a look back at our well-off-the-mark predictions.
First, we predicted our Power 5 Conference champions and collectively we were not even close, while combining to go 4-15. Individually, #LowedownDon claimed bragging rights while accurately picking three out of five league champs. On the other hand, though, #RandomRandy managed to get one out of five right and #SoonerChris was horrendous with an embarrassing 0-5.

As for our Playoff Predictions, we didn’t fare much better at all. However, #RandomRandy and #LowedownDon do still have a chance to get the National Champion correct if Alabama happens to win it all.
In our original Playoff Picks, though, #LowedownDon managed to get two of the four teams correct, while #RandomRandy had one of the four and #SoonerChris was 0-4.

Michigan battling USC and Florida State colliding with Alabama in the semifinals. Alabama and USC playing for the title. Alabama claiming the national crown.
Yep. We were a little bit off the mark. Yep. Even with our vast sports knowledge, the Sideline Hecklers can slip up from time to time. BUT, we still know our college football. If you don’t believe us, just ask us and we will tell you just how much we know.
