The calendar has turned to October and with that, temperatures will soon be falling. But on the football field, things are only getting hotter and hotter with each passing week.
And the Sideline Hecklers are ready with our ‘hot’ takes on Week #6 of College Football and Dallas Cowboys Predictions.
Looking In The Rearview Mirror
Before diving into the Sideline Hecklers Week #6 selections, lets take a quick look back at last weekend when #SoonerChris, #RandomRandy and #LowedownDon combined for a respectable 23-10 effort.
Individually, #RandomRandy put together the best showing with an impressive 9-2 record, while #SoonerChris shined as well and finished 8-3. On the other hand, #LowedownDon had a tough time keeping pace with his fellow Hecklers and stumbled to a lackluster 6-5 ledger.
All Tied Up At The Top
After five full weeks of predictions, it’s #RandomRandy and #LowedownDon deadlocked at 38-16 to lead the overall standings. Although #SoonerChris is still bringing up the rear at 31-23, he’s steadily gaining ground and has every reason to be confident that he’ll eventually overtake his buddies.
This Week’s Games
And with that, it’s time to take a look at what’s coming this weekend. So, here’s our complete list of Week #6 games:
Arkansas Razorbacks at #16 Ole Miss Rebels
#12 Oklahoma Sooners at #3 Texas Longhorns
#20 Kentucky Wildcats at #1 Georgia Bulldogs
#11 Alabama Crimson Tide at Texas A&M Aggies
#23 LSU Tigers at #21 Missouri Tigers
Maryland Terrapins at #4 Ohio State Buckeyes
#10 Notre Dame Fighting Irish at #25 Louisville Cardinals
#13 Washington State Cougars at UCLA Bruins
#24 Fresno State Bulldogs at Wyoming Cowboys
Rutgers Scarlet Knights at Wisconsin Badgers
Dallas Cowboys at San Francisco 49ers
Great Minds…
It’s always surprising, really rather unusual, when #SoonerChris,#RandomRandy and #LowedownDon are in complete agreement on anything. Even so, we’re all three going with Georgia, LSU, Ohio State, Notre Dame and Fresno State to celebrate victories on Saturday.
Opposing Views
When it comes to where we disagree, #RandomRandy predicts that Head Coach Jimbo Fisher’s Aggies will ‘upset’ #11 Alabama in a pivotal Southeastern Conference showdown. On the flip side, #SoonerChris and #LowedownDon are going with Head Coach Nick Saban’s Crimson Tide to win.
Oklahoma or Texas?
Not surprisingly at all, #SoonerChris is sticking with ‘his’ #12 Sooners to come out on top in the ‘Red River Rivalry’. Is #SoonerChris ‘picking’ with his heart or does he seriously believe in Head Coach Brent Venable’s ‘Boomer’ bunch? Meanwhile, as much as #RandomRandy and #LowedownDon despise the hated Longhorns, they’re both taking Head Coach Steve Sarkisian’s talented Texas squad to get a W in this battle of perennially powerful pigskin programs that simply do not like each other.
Reeling Razorbacks
Although Head Coach Sam Pittman’s Arkansas squad has obviously stumbled badly with back-to-back-to-back losses, #LowedownDon once again remains loyal to ‘his’ Hogs and has them surprising #16 Ole Miss on Saturday night. Whether or not #LowedownDon really thinks this is possible or he’s picking with his heart, who knows. As for #SoonerChris and #RandomRandy, they are both going with the more realistic choice in taking Ole Miss.
Primetime Cowboys
After we get through Saturday’s slate of college games, the Hecklers can’t wait for Sunday night when our Cowboys go on the road to San Francisco. Apparently, #RandomRandy and #LowedownDon don’t have enough faith in ‘their’ team, America’s Team. However, #SoonerChris begs to differ, while confidently choosing Dallas and much-maligned quarterback Dak Prescott to successfully fight through all the adversity and come away victorious.
