It’s time for the first of 14 consecutive weeks with our sidelinehecklers.com Blog Predictions on upcoming college football games. We will also include our expert pick on Dallas Cowboys games every week when America’s Team kicks off the 2023 season on Sunday night, September 10 when they take on the host New York Giants in an NFC East showdown.
This week’s college games get under way tonight (Thursday, August 31) and a long weekend full of college football concludes on Labor Day (Monday night, September 4).
Not surprisingly at all, #SoonerChris (Chris Kerklin), #RandomRandy (Randy Parker) and #LowedownDon (Don Lowe) have it all figured out with our superb selections on this week’s biggest and best matchups – a total of 10 games.
As for the 10 season openers we’re picking, they include all the following:
Florida Gators at Utah Utes
Nebraska Cornhuskers at Minnesota Golden Gophers
North Carolina State Wolfpack at UCONN Huskies
Virginia Cavaliers at Tennessee Volunteers
Colorado Buffaloes at TCU Horned Frogs
Ohio State Buckeyes at Indiana Hoosiers
Boise State Broncos at Washington Huskies
North Carolina Tar Heels at South Carolina Gamecocks
West Virginia Mountaineers at Penn State Nittany Lions
LSU Tigers at Florida State Seminoles
Interestingly enough, #SoonerChris, #RandomRandy and #LowedownDon think exactly the same (scary right) on six of these 10 games as the three of us have Utah, Minnesota, Tennessee, Ohio State, Washington and Penn State opening their ’23 seasons with victories.
In the four remaining games, there are a few differences in our thinking. But, really, who knows what we’re thinking anyway, right?
Not sure at all what #SoonerChris is thinking with his decision to take UCONN over North Carolina State. Then again, the Oklahoma Sooners are his favorite team. Enough said.
#SoonerChris is also opting for Colorado and it’s obvious that he’s totally on board with “Prime Time” (Deion Sanders) making a big splash in his debut as Buffaloes Football Head Coach.
It’s all about loyalty to the Southeastern Conference, perhaps, for #RandomRandy as he goes with South Carolina knocking off North Carolina. And, #RandomRandy has LSU upending Florida State.
Meanwhile, apparently preferring to stay safe with his picks, #LowedownDon takes no chances whatsoever while sticking closer to the more likely outcomes of all 10 games.
